Softball Infield Clinic - CANCELLED
This will be a one hour clinic with 15 minutes to warm up. Participants will participate in a variety of drills and activities that will help them be better infielders. Instructor CarolAnn will work on the following with participants:
- Throwing progression
- Quick transitions
- Throwing on the run
- Ground ball techniques, footwork, angles
- Double plays
- Diving and finishing the play
- Full infield work (depending on attendance)
Instructor
CarolAnn McConnell
CarolAnn graduated from Canton High School in 2011 where she was a 2-year captain, All-District, All-Conference and All-State player. She was a four year starter at Central Michigan University at shortstop, earning second-team All-MAC and All-MAC tournament team awards throughout her career. She provides interactive defensive and hitting lessons that are tailored to each player based on position, level of play, and learning style. Her goal is to help players recognize and build upon their strengths on and off the field.

Pitching and Catching Clinic - Remaining Sessions Cancelled
This clinic is designed to help pitchers and catchers develop proper mechanics. The first part of the clinic will have pitchers and catchers working separately on position specific drills. The remainder of the clinic will have pitchers and catchers working together. The pitchers will work with Coach Chris Yates and the catchers will work with Coach Conor Dishman.
Instructors
Chris Yates
Coach Yates is a former player for the Houston Astros organization. He specializes in Hitting and Pitching for players of all skill levels. Coach Yates believes fundamentals and hard work are keys to becoming a great baseball player.
Conor Dishman
Conor graduated from Father Gabriel Richard High School in 2011 where he was a 2 year Captain, 2 time Dream Team selection, 3 time first-team all-state, and played in the East-West All Star game his senior year. Conor holds the National High School Hit Streak Record of 58 games. He led the Irish to a 43-2 record in his Junior year and caught every game. He was the starting C/1B for Division 1 Junior College Wabash Valley College and led them to a top 5 national ranking (2012-13). Conor played his junior season at D-1 Texas Southern University in Houston, TX (2014). He closed out his college career at the #1 ranked NAIA powerhouse, Cumberland University in Tennessee.

Looking to improve your infield baseball skills? Spend an hour with Coach Jay Alexander as he will lead players through his infield clinic with detailed instructions and drill sets that will focus on proper fielding/throwing mechanics and techniques. Each week he will have different activities and drills that will help develop each players skills.

Jay Alexander
Jay Alexander spent 17 years coaching college baseball, most notably as Head Baseball Coach at Eastern Michigan University and Wayne State University. Jay served on the rules committee for all of college baseball, All-American committee and he was North Central Regional Chair. In addition he coached two seasons with Team USA 18 under division and was a part of 2 gold medals.
